Plant based is becoming more and more of a popular statement in regards to ultimate health. The main problem with animal protein, just as with plant-based protein, is the source of where it’s coming from.  Man nor animal can thrive when eating genetically modified plant-based food, hence is one reason why factory farmed animals are not an adequate source of nutrition for those who desire optimum health.  The following video gives many more reasons…

Whey and egg protein, the two sources of animal protein used in animal-based protein powders, ARE coming from factory farmed animals unless stated otherwise.  For instance, whey protein powders should be labeled something like:  “From cows that graze on organic grass pastures.”  To ensure avoiding your dollars being used in favor of factory farming use a plant-based protein powder instead.  🙂  (But buyer beware; not all plant-based protein sources are alike).

The days of having to have meat (animal protein) in every meal is becoming questionable.  The belief that we will not get enough protein without meat/animal sources has been embedded into our brains thanks to the meat and dairy industry, who by the way profit right along side the pharmaceutical companies in regards to sickness and disease. Again, you’re looking for raw, organic and non-GMO options.  Without each of these present there’s a good chance you’re buying pesticide laden, toxic forming, GMO junk food.

Another important aspect is, is it a complete protein?  Without adequate amino acids your body will take from other areas, such as muscle, to make up for the lack.
