On the animal side of things, I recommend staying far away from Intensive farming, Factory farming, or any mass production of animals (and crops). The goal of Factory farming is to produce as much of a product as quickly as possible.  It’s all about production…the land and the animals in these systems are strained to the utmost. Choose Sustainable/Organic farming instead; it works with nature rather than against it.
